About Us Originally established on the 1st January 1975, the company was one of the first Hoover Service Centres, specialising in repairs to Hoover domestic appliances.
By 1976 the company had a showroom displaying and retailing all Hoover appliances with repairs being carried out in customers homes and in a purposely built workshop.
In 1978 the portfolio was extended to include not only the repair of Hoover products but also most makes of built in appliances.
Over the following years the company expanded not only to cover the original base in Sheffield but included Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, part of Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley with multi-skilled engineers covering cooking, cooling (including re-gas) and laundry products.
In 2001 the name was changed to Masterfix Domestic Appliance Repairs Ltd, to re-position the perception of the company away from the small family image, in preparation for further area expansion.
In 2004the head office and call centre was relocated to Chesterfield. Further development of the software used in the service operation, written by our sister company, was implemented to allow for supplying different information for different clients and, with all our engineers carrying company laptops with mobile internet access to full parts listings, bulletins and technical information, the transition to faster, more efficient and accurate electronic communications has been developed.
In 2008Masterfix had embraced the developments in Information Technology and the Engineers' had direct connections to the main Servers, enabling real-time updating of Repairs Completed and parts required facilitating a faster parts ordering and hence completion of repairs.
In 2009the operation was extended Nationally by linking withService Partners, especially selected Repair Companies, operating to Masterfix's Terms & Conditions. Additionally, our website provided a 24 Hour On-Line Booking facility.
2011has seen our presence extend to Social Media (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) and coming soon, a portal for Landlord and Property Developers to book calls on behalf of their clients and the facility for Electricians and Electrical Retailers to book calls on behalf of their customers.
For our Private Clients, New Appliances, Spare Parts and Consumables are now available to order On-Line and in August, the introduction of the new Masterfix Loyalty Club, offering savings on our Sales and Services. A new mobile app will be released in the coming months.
The company is now actively seeking additional work providers in all areas with whom a specific level of quality service can be discussed and implemented.
